Trips and Special Events

Of course, one of our biggest and most popular ministries are our trips and special events. We try to have a trip or special event every month.

Trips and special events in which we participate include:
Annual trips to Montreat camps, Confirmation retreats, Rock the Universe/Night of Joy, water park outings, movie night, Andretti Thrill Park, lock in’s and lock out’s, and many others.

Our students also have the opportunity to participate in a mission trip every year. These trips have been both international and nationally focused. Just this summer, several of our youth traveled to Cuba to lead Vacation Bible School and begin work on a water filtration system!  We are also very involved in missions in the community with such things as Habitat for Humanity, the annual Souper Bowl of caring, the Indian River County Day of Service,  PYC Feed.

Welcome to our annual Rock the Universe adventure! With your help, this will be a great evening of fun and hearing some of the nation’s best Christian bands!  We have the following guidelines for our time together:

  • Robyn Thompson will be leading this trip with the help of our new Youth Director Intern, Alex Hagood and participating adult chaperones.
  • We represent our church and, more importantly, Jesus Christ. In all your words and actions you are expected to model exemplary behavior.
  • Please be modest in your dress. If you have any doubts about your outfit, DON’T wear it!  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
  • High School students (9th and up) are required to remain in groups of 3 or more together while Middle School students (6th-8th) are required to remain in groups WITH an adult leader at all times.
  • All students are required to “check-in” during the course of the event. Your entire group must check-in at the correct time and place (you may not send a “representative!”).   You will receive more details before we depart the day of the event.
  • All students are encouraged to attend a significant portion of at least two concerts. I will have the schedule of artists and locations and will talk more about this before we leave.
  • Emergency ?? Robyn Thompson’s cell: 1-772-321-3834.
