Serving Others
God gave his only Son so that we could have life. Following Jesus’ example we give of ourselves so that others can benefit. No matter what your interest or skill level, know that God has given you a gift that others need. You can find opportunities to serve others through prayer, on campus, or off campus.
…on campus. Whether behind the scenes as a sound/video technician, up front as a smiling face that greets worshipers, helping in the church office, or visiting the sick, or helping the needy, there are plenty of opportunities for you to serve God and others right here.
…off campus. Reaching out to our community and world is a vital part of our outreach. From local work such as Habitat for Humanity and providing food for needy families with our Thanksgiving Hope Baskets, to international work in Ticul, Mexico, First Presbyterian Church strives to serve as Christ’s hands both locally and abroad.
Prayer Net. Prayer is not only something do, it is also something you can ask for. PrayerNet is an email network of prayerful members who will pray for your needs. To submit a prayer request, or to be a part of prayer net, click here.
